Our Family & How We Work
My snowdrop has always been a family project. At the beginning, choosing toys for the shop was no different from choosing toys for our own children. We looked for pieces that felt well made, gentle, and worth keeping for a long time.
We started small, as a young family in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria, and we still see ourselves that way. Even now, after years of growth, we try to make decisions as if we are just starting out: carefully, step by step, and with a lot of attention to detail.
We answer your messages ourselves. We do not use chatbots or automated replies. When you write to My snowdrop, a real person from our small Bulgarian team reads your message, and you receive a personal answer. This is important to us and is something we actively protect as the shop grows.
Our goal is simple: to remain a human, family-run store, even while we serve more countries and more families. We want you to feel that there are people behind the name My snowdrop, not just a brand.

Personal Contact
Every email, chat or social media message is handled by a person from our team, usually by us. We try to answer in a straightforward and honest way, just as we would speak to friends.
Not a Faceless Company
My snowdrop is still a small Bulgarian family business. We do not want to feel like a large, distant company. We keep things simple, stay close to the day-to-day work, and pay attention to the details that matter to families.
Growing from East to West
Our first international customers came from countries close to us – Romania, Greece, Croatia and Hungary. From there, the shop slowly expanded into Austria and other Western European countries. Today we deliver to 23 European countries, but the pace of growth has been deliberate and careful.
Heart Over Scale
We are happy that My snowdrop has grown beyond Bulgaria, but we are not chasing size for its own sake. We prefer steady, healthy growth that allows us to stay involved, keep our standards high, and recognise ourselves in the business we run.
The Scandinavian Moment
In 2019 we travelled to Northern Europe. During that trip we visited several small toy shops in Scandinavia. They were calm, well-organised spaces, with toys chosen very carefully. This made a strong impression on us.
We bought one of our daughter Leda’s first special toys there. It showed us how much difference a well-made toy can make to a child and to the atmosphere at home. It also raised a simple question in our minds.
We asked ourselves: could we build something similar from Bulgaria, and offer this kind of selection to families in other European countries? The answer to that question became My snowdrop.
Our Journey
2019
We launch My snowdrop online from Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria, inspired by what we had seen in Scandinavia. The first orders come from families in Bulgaria and then from Romania.
2020
Our son Hristo is born. Our work and our family life become even more connected, and children continue to be at the centre of every decision we make.
2021
We open our first physical store in Veliko Tarnovo, followed by a second store in Sofia. At the same time, more and more orders arrive from Romania, Greece, Croatia and Hungary.
2022
Peter leaves his international sales career to focus entirely on My snowdrop and on strengthening our presence across Europe, including Austria and other Western European countries.
2023
The online store continues to grow. We serve more countries, but keep the same way of working: small team, personal replies, and close attention to each parcel.
2024
We introduce Marshyellow – our own brand of plush toys, based on what we have learned as parents and as curators of children’s products.
Today
My snowdrop is a Bulgarian family business serving 23 European countries online. Our children, Leda and Hristo, continue to remind us who we are working for: real families, real homes, and real childhoods.
From Curators to Creators
Over time, working with different children’s brands and listening to our customers gave us a clear sense of what we value in a toy: safe materials, good workmanship, and a calm, gentle character that fits into everyday family life.
Marshyellow was created from this understanding. It is our own line of plush companions, designed in the EU, with soft materials suitable from 0+ months and details made to last. The idea is simple: toys that can be loved daily and kept for years.
The characters – such as our Hoppy Bunnies, Oliver Puppies and dolls – are meant to feel friendly and familiar. Their names and colours are chosen to encourage gentle play and imagination, without being overwhelming.
The snowdrop Promise
The snowdrop flower appears early in the year across many parts of Europe – small, simple and full of quiet optimism. We chose this name because it reflects how we see childhood: delicate, but with a lot of strength inside.
From Bulgaria to the rest of Europe, our promise is to treat every order with care, to stay reachable and human in our communication, and to choose toys that we would confidently bring into our own home.
